Amarante Process is a technology transfer unit of the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences specialized in process engineering applied to oenology and the environment.
The skills developed cover the processes from the reception of the harvest to bottling. Thus, we work in the areas of wine extraction and stabilization (eg new physical processes), reduction of inputs (eg SO2, pesticides), dissolved gas management (eg inerting strategies, evolution of wines), filtration (e.g. participation in the development of a new filtrability index), material permeability (e.g. wood, new materials for maturing wines), etc.
To meet the innovation needs of companies, collaborative projects are set up and materialize through Research and Development studies.
Amarante Process also makes the technological innovations developed by the ISVV Oenology research unit accessible to companies through services.
These R&D actions are carried out under a strict confidentiality clause, relying in particular on the technical and scientific resources of the ISVV.
