The Interprofessional Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) brings together the three families of the Bordeaux sector: 5,300 winegrowers, 300 trading houses, 80 brokers.
Created in 1948, the CIVB has several missions: to ensure knowledge of the Bordeaux wine market throughout the world; preserve the quality of Bordeaux wines, in line with environmental requirements; develop reputation and demand for Bordeaux wines; rejuvenate and retain consumers; fight against counterfeiting; protect the terroirs, and develop wine tourism.
