MYCOPHYTO, a company founded by 2 INRAE researchers, Justine Lipuma, PhD in microbiology and Christine Poncet, agricultural engineer INRAE, is based on the following postulate: the improvement in management of natural biodiversity in an agroecosystem can make it more robust & resilient to climatic or pathogenic stresses.

The company has developed various know-how around the isolation, characterization, production, formulation and reintroduction of Native Indigenous Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (CMA), allowing each plant of agronomic interest to regain its ideal and natural root ecosystem.

The market for biostimulants based on mycorrhizal fungi-type microorganisms has grown on the use of generic CMA whose production is held by a few large companies. This solution brought only very inconclusive results and also causes disturbances in the balance and structure of the microbiome of the treated soils.

MYCOPHYTO is the only company to offer to revitalize soils with exclusively native CMA microorganisms. To do this, she bases her business on an interdisciplinary information and data analysis system combining biotechnology, laboratory analysis capacity and Big Data / AI in order to map the most suitable strains for each plant of interest.

MYCOPHYTO provides a concrete and realistic response to the challenges of agricultural and environmental transition by implementing natural and innovative organic technologies, taking into account societal expectations and economic performance.

MYCOPHYTO wishes to become an innovative and disruptive player in the green revolution to come, primarily in the agri-food, arboriculture, vine, ornamental plants and perfume, aromatic and medicinal plants on which it is already working on many implementation projects.
